Our data protection provisions are in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and the data is only processed in the Federal Republic of Germany. However, we also work with third-party providers who may process data outside the EU. All third-party providers with whom we work are listed in our privacy policy.

4. cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small text files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your end device when you visit our website. Information is stored in the cookie that results in each case in connection with the specific end device used. However, this does not mean that we obtain direct knowledge of your identity.

These cookies are set as first-party cookies ("own cookies") or third-party cookies ("third-party cookies"). First-party cookies are set by the website on which you are currently located and are not made accessible by browsers across domains. A third-party cookie, on the other hand, is set by a third party, i.e. not by the actual website you are currently visiting.

Cookies are also divided into technically necessary and technically unnecessary cookies. Both technically necessary cookies and technically unnecessary cookies are set on our website in accordance with the following paragraphs.

a) Technically necessary cookies
Technically necessary cookies are absolutely essential for the operation of our website and, for example, enable you to use certain functions. These technically necessary cookies, which are only required and set for the individual necessary online session, are automatically deleted after you leave our website.

The legal basis for the use of these technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

b) Technically not necessary cookies
If you have given your consent, we use so-called technically unnecessary cookies on our website. The technically unnecessary cookies are mainly used to evaluate the use of the website and user behaviour, to compile reports on the activities of visitors to the website and to provide other services related to the use of the website.

The cookies we use that are not technically necessary are explained in our cookie banner with regard to how they work, their duration and possible third-party recipients of the data. If certain third-party providers used by us set cookies as part of the service provided for us, this is also pointed out separately in our privacy policy.

The legal basis for the use of technically unnecessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, provided you have given your consent.

You can revoke your consent at any time. You also have the option of configuring the setting of cookies at any time. For example, you can set your browser so that it informs you in advance about the setting of cookies or completely refuses cookies.

Java applets and Java script are used to provide our website. If you do not wish to use these auxiliary programmes or active content for security reasons, you should deactivate the corresponding setting in your browser.

HTML5: We and certain third parties may also use certain tracking technologies known as "HTML5", primarily for advertising purposes. Some browsers may use their own management tools to remove or block such technologies.

5. online marketing/analysis measures

By collecting statistics through online marketing measures, we want to design our website to meet your needs and continuously adapt it for you, our user, and optimise its use.

Unless otherwise stated below, the online marketing and tracking measures used by us are based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

If your data is transferred to the USA, this is done on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 49 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. In addition, the service providers concerned have undertaken to us under a standard contractual clause that a level of data protection equivalent to that of the EU is guaranteed in third countries outside the EU to which data is exported.

We use various Google tools on our website.

a) Google Analytics
If you have given your consent, Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited "Google", is used on this website. The use includes the "Universal Analytics" operating mode; this makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to a pseudonymous user ID and thus to analyse the activities of a user across devices.

Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended to include IP anonymisation on this website in order to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can find more information on terms of use and data protection at (https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or under https://policies.google.com/?hl=de).

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user identifiers (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data that has reached the end of its retention period is automatically deleted once a month.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by preventing the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on. Opt-out cookies prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website. To prevent Universal Analytics from collecting data across different devices, you must opt out on all systems used. If you click here (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de), the opt-out cookie is set to deactivate Google Analytics.

6. data security

We take all necessary technical and organisational security measures to store your personal data in such a way that it is not accessible to third parties or the public. Should you wish to contact us by e-mail, we would like to point out that the confidentiality of the information transmitted cannot be fully guaranteed by this means of communication. We therefore recommend that you only send us confidential information by post.

7. name and contact details of the controller and the data protection officer

This data protection information applies to data processing by

hCaptcha

We use hCaptcha (hereinafter referred to as "hCaptcha") on this website. The provider is Intuition Machines Inc 2211 Selig Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90026, United States (hereinafter "IMI").

The purpose of hCaptcha is to check whether the data input on this website (e.g. in a contact form) is made by a human or by an automated programme. For this purpose, hCaptcha analyses the behaviour of the website visitor based on various characteristics.

This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters a website with activated hCaptcha. To analyse this, hCaptcha evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time spent on the website by the website visitor or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to IMI. If hCaptcha is used in "invisible mode", the analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.

The data is stored and analysed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its website from abusive automated spying and SPAM. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Data processing is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) contained in the Data Processing Addendum to IMI's General Terms and Conditions or the Data Processing Agreements.
